2ND OCTOBER
With their cute (and eerie) ghost decorations on top, Ghost Cheesecake Brownies are the ideal combination of rich, fudgy brownies and creamy cheesecake.
This dessert, which combines the decadence of chocolate with the smoothness of cheesecake, is a fun and delicious way to celebrate Halloween.
– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter – 2 cups granulated sugar – 4 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 1 large egg – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ghost Decorations: – 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts (for ghosts) – Mini chocolate chips or black icing (for eyes)
Compile every component. Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper and grease it.
Transfer the chopped chocolate to a heat-resistant bowl.
Pour melted butter over chocolate in a sauce pan set over medium heat
Wait five minutes for the chocolate to begin melting. Stir thoroughly until all of the chocolate has melted.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar on high speed with an electric mixer until pale yellow in color.
Add the salt and vanilla extract. Mix on high for a further minute.
Pour in the chocolate-butter mixture and stir for 30 seconds, or until thoroughly blended
Using a spatula, fold in flour until it is completely incorporated. Put two tsp of brownie batter aside.
