Veteran Player Claims Indian Team Was Targeted in Australia Prior to BGT

A ball replacement scandal came to light on the last day of the first unofficial Test between India A and Australia A.

India A’s bowlers protested after umpire Shawn Craig switched the ball during their side’s practice session ahead of the match.

Wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan protested with Craig hierarchy over that particular decision insisting that there was nothing wrong with the ball change.

At the time, Australia A required 86 runs to win and the new ball posed australian team some sort of advantage to plan disturb India A’s bowling combination.

Umpire Craig alledged that the ball was deliberately scuffed and demanded that for possible ball tampering.

Kishan erupted at this by calling it “stupid” and went for an unnecessary debate until Craig cautioned him for indiscipline.

Australian legend Ian Healy supported the umpires and further said that India A was trying to manipulate the situation by changing the ball.

Healy said that reverse swing would help India A to put pressure on Australian batsman in a low scoring chase.
